These videos are from a party we threw in honor of Georges Collinet and his decades-long career bridging cultures and musical styles through radio as host of Voice of America's "Bonjour l'Afrique" and Afropop Worldwide. DC-based musicians Cheick Hamala Diabate (Mali) and Armand Ntep (Cameroon) are old friends of Georges and brought their world-class stylings to the event performing with DC Highlife Stars. It was a lovely evening, and there will be more like it coming soon. Stay tuned....
