JEHO is a DC-based Nigerian-American artist turning heads with his songwriting chops, smooth vocals, production and video editing skills. Raised in Southern Maryland JEHO was inspired by his older brother’s musical life and taught himself to write songs, sing, play multiple instruments, dance, produce tracks, and videos. Since graduating from Ryken High School in Southern Maryland (class of 2014), JEHO has made DC his home, steadily building his repertoire and resume in the studio and on-stage.
Collaborations with younger brother Marvio have produced soulful, R&B inflected songs like “So Divine” and “Lost (feat. Martha Afework)”. We had a lovely chat about creative process, the importance of friends and supporters (big ups to Sitali, Pete Muldoon and Connor Bullis!), upcoming projects and so much more.
JEHO and guitarist Steve Walsh also treated us to a lovely R&B mashup live on-air of Mario’s “Let Me Love You” & Chris Brown “Back to Sleep” [@8:26], the first time they’ve performed together, after meeting 2 weeks prior. Crazy good!
