Seyi Clegg

This week Jolly Papa sat down with Nigerian saxophone wizard Seyi “Olumomento Show” Clegg to talk about his musical journey from playing trumpet as a teenager in a Lagos parade band, to touring and recording with Femi Kuti for over a decade, including three albums and sessions with Roy Hargrove, D’Angelo, Questlove, Macy Gray and so many other great artists for the Red Hot + Riot Fela tribute album in 2000. Seyi can now be found playing sax with some of the top African music groups in the DC area, and touring throughout North America with legendary Nigerian bandleader OJ Ekemode.
